Purple Pumpkin - guest designer...I wish......

OKAY - I know I've said it - but Purple Pumpkin buttons and dollies and twine are SO fun to play with on layouts and I have been having such fun using them on layouts. One of my layouts filled with them was just picked up by SCRAPBOOKING MEMORIES to be published in an upcoming mag (so can't share that one!).

Well, I want to try out and be a guest-designer and to do this I need to link a layout to their blog and then the layouts willl go in for voting on Facebook.  I can have a CRACK at this!
I'm gonna enter this layout:

Just love that perfect button and twine winding through the layout!

They have a great sketch challenges each month too. In fact last month I entered this page on their blog:

AND WON ONE OF THEIR PRIZES! Yay!

So I'll let you all know when you need to start voting for me on Facebook! Lol!

Thanks for stopping by,

Amanda

Beyond the Door

This month we go Beyond the Door into the kitchen.... also we had to use a food photo, 2 flowers and 3 kitchen items, plus twine....

I did it!

I cut a spoon and spatula on my friends cricut, plus I found a teapot brad! And I finally finished a layout about my gran's recipe that had been in my box for ages!

ON a happy happy note - I won a PRIZE on this cool blog last month, for my Jessie "Little Bruiser" page. Happy days!

Thanks!

Amanda

Once upon a Sketch

I did the Once Upon a Sketch again this month.  I love this layout, a special one about my Mum.

What do you think?

Papers: Prima, sassafras and bazzil white.  Flowers, inc: Charm creation lollipop, twine, ric rac, maya road tickets, brads, maya road chipboard letters. The paint splatters were fun!

Sooooooo..... I did this during our retreat this week and one of the other challenges Moira set was called "EQUIPMENT OVERLOAD" - which meant we had to use all the tools available: sewing machine, computer, cricut and Big Shot (die cut and emboss). So you can see I use sewing machine, the cricut cut my circle, computer journalling, plus die cut and embossed kraft tags.

Thanks for looking,

Amanda

123 Challenge

Hi again,

MORE challenge creations!

This time at 123 challenge we had to use:

COLOUR: AQUA/TEAL
WORD: "THING" - could be anything, everything, something etc...
TECHNIQUE: Create A Scene

Here is mine,,,... Now a quick word - I did NOT cut the photo as an oval for this layout.  I did cut it, but like, when I was 10 and trying to squeeze the photo into a frame.  Now I had to use the "oval-ness" to fit into my design.  I like this layout, creating the scene was quite fun - all the little bits on that tree - so pretty!

Papers: Crate and MME, plus various scraps (sassafras, Oct afternoon, etc). Plus lots of lovely bits: prima flowers, Bo bunny butterfly, MME brads, buttons, etc.

Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear what YOU think of my page..!!!
