White with one - March

Hi again,

In the January Rainbow Splendour sale, I got some of these:

And those little crowns were perfect for the challenge over at White with One this month...

ww1 hemlock

And here is the page I created:

I created the background with Dylusions mist - I used the stick of the mist to draw a circle on the page. I also added Tim Holtz distress stain.
I stitched papers and velum under the photo and finished with mist splutters, sequins, enamel dots, flowers, and of course, the RS pretty pin.

Thanks for looking.

Rainbow Splendour March Sketch

Hi everyone!

AMANDA HERE....

Chloe designed us a fabulous sketch this month. Here it is.....

I enjoyed this sketch.. so here is my page and a close up of the Rainbow Splendour goodies!
PS>>> I just noticed that as I uploaded this, that I forgot to JOURNAL on my page... BAD SCRAPBOOKER! HA! I am getting that page back out to finish it now - I promise!

And well.... the felt bow are so gorgeous, why not double them up? And then wind some twine around them?

And a felt feather nestled with more vellum circles and flowers and circles and twine and sequins and bling and.... a bit of everything!

Do you love the sketch? Would you like to join us this month? If you are inspired - then please create a layout using Chloe's sketch- remembering to include a little bit of Rainbow Splendour goodness from your stash. Simply share it on our Rainbow Splendour Facebook page by the end of the month for your chance to win a RAK from me {for a randomly chosen person}. We love seeing how YOU use RS!

Thanks for looking today.

Show Us Your Stuff - March 2015

Another month, another fun challenge at SUYS.... this time a QUOTE challenge chosen by Chloe! We all loved this quote and we can't wait to see your pages, as I am sure you will be inspired like we all were!

And here is my page:

I created this layout with textured paste through a circles template, then a coat of gesso. I then used gelato mixed with some Heidi Swapp mist, to get the right colour for the stamping and splattering and for the edges of the white cardstock.

Machine stitching to secure the base, as well as for the layer of tulle and paper bag.

My embellishment cluster with Hand-dyed muslin from D'lish, paper flowers, resin flowers, Fancy Pants felt (from the vault), as well as these  handmade items:

A mini-Heavenly Heart from Charms Creations.
D'Lish flair.
Vellum confetti from Rainbow Splendour.

Note: the cute little Kite - looks handmade - but I didn't make it.... I bought it from Michaels during my recent trip to Florida! Not sure if we can get them in Oz?

And I was well please with my stash of Thickers letters to do the title!

Love this page... join the challenge this month at SUYS,

Amanda
