"Star team", for Scrapbooking Top 50

Hey there!

I liked the sketch at Scrapbooking Top 50 and decided to give it a go!

No automatic alt text available.

Here is my page....

I added a Charms Creations hessian heart to this page, so I can share this page over at Charms this month too!

So.... how did I make this page?

Recently I had some Colour Shimmer Dusts (by Colour Blast) on a messy mat, for a project I was working on. I had HEAPS of colour left over on the mat. So I took a piece of white cardstock and put it upside down into the leftover colour and smooshed it. All the blues in the background are the result. I left it to dry.

Once dry, using a pencil, I drew a star directly onto the background. Because Colour Shimmer Dusts are water based and reactive, I simply took a wet paintbrush and painted the star. So easy!

I then decided a touch of pink/purple was needed, so I got some Colour Artist Ink (a new Colour Blast product) in Berry. I painted this on the edges of the star. Again because it is water based, it mixed and reacted with the blues. I also added some splatters.

Here are some close ups.
Here is the Charms heart, with an acetate word on top, and alongside a D-lish Scraps Willow flower and small metal flower.

I used some silver messy thread, another metal flower, as well as a button from my stash. The stars are acrylic and I got them from Corbett Creations.

Show Us Your Stuff.... November challenge!

Hi everyone

Here is the challenge for SUYS this month....

Image may contain: text

And here is my page!

My background: used OLD Heidi Swapp mask letters, and painted over them with Flutterby acrylic paint, plus some paint swirls.

Then I added a layer of Colour Blast Colour paste (in steel[grey]), and painted and splattered some Colour Shimmer Cube (in apple of my eye[green]).

Then I created the circle of stuff to house the photo - vellum, wire, punchinella.

To embellish I used:
Charms Creations Emoji
Rainbow Splendour leaf
Corbett Creations silver acrylic hearts
Burdy's glitter heart
Flutterby sticker quotes
Leaves from D-lish Scraps,
Plus any other random metal bits I could find!

Check it all out in these close-ups!

Off the Rails - November challenge

Hi everyone,

I have not had much time for extra scrappy challenges lately, with one thing and another. However this week, I made some time and this challenge from Off the Rails seemed perfect for me! Especially with the beautiful photo of our 3 girls, all dressed from my sisters Engagement party (which ended up being a Surprise wedding!!!!!!!).

Here is my page and a few close ups!

So.... I started with white cardstock base and used Colour Blast - Colour Shimmer Cubes (lipstick, blush and envy) to paint and splatter around the outer edge.

Then I stuck this transparency sheet over. That's the black designs around the edges. I have had this transparency sheet for so long, I have NO idea where it even came from. I machine stitched it to the page, and my old sewing machine did crack up! (#miracleshappen)

I embellished with some of my favourites - using a pink, teal, silver and black colour scheme.

I love all things Charms Creations, so the soft pink heart seemed perfect for this page. Combined with a Rainbow Splendour epoxy button and some D-lish Scraps flowers and stamen, and we were set.

I also found some micro-beads in my stash... I am sure you see them glued to the layout. You don't want to see my desk and floor where the micro-beads went everywhere! So worth it! Lol!

Another Charms here, this time a chevron and more D-lish flowers and a bow.

I added a touch of bling with a string of silver sequins, and a silver circle tag (#ilovestashbusting)

This last close up, hopefully shows the painted Colour Blast edging under the transparency. I was really so happy with the effect!

Anyway.... when you have a lovely photo like this, it deserves a special scrapped page. So glad I found Off the Rails, I was really inspired to create this!

Thanks for looking,

Amanda

Kraft Plus

THINK BIG for November... for the challenge at Kraft Plus!

Here is my page!

I hand drew and then cut the title LOVE. I machine stitched the title, before adding some colour (Colour Blast!).

I used some CVS die cuts and loads of lovely D-lish embellies!

And I forgot to share my October page.... so while you are here....
So many pretty things here! Lots of stash busting!
