Scrapbooking Top 50 - May Sketch challenge

I loved the sketch this month at SBT50.

No automatic alt text available.

Here is my page and some close ups.

This page gives one of my big hoarder secrets away.... I even keep skinny paper strips cut from the ends of patterned paper. I have a huge container of them! I used them to collage the diagonal design down the left side of the page. I sealed it with Gel Medium before adding some gesso, and paint splatters from "Punch" (pink) Colour Shimmer Cube.

The white side does have white texture paste through a heart stencil - a subtle touch to that side of the page.

In this cluster you can see some of my favourite things:
- Charms Creations - I used a DIY circle, which I painted pink and green again using Colour Shimmer Cubes, before adding "seeds" so it looks like a watermelon!
- D-lish Scraps Creative Cuts - the vine/leaves are also painted with Colour Shimmer Cube.
- D-lish Scraps resin and enamel dots.
- Flutterby Designs sticky quote
- Studion 1440 Flair.

Thanks for looking today!

Kraft Plus - May 2017

Oh KRAFT PLUS TEAM - you have done it again!

SO INSPIRED.....

And came up with this....

Confession - there is a trail of oddly shaped photos cut out on my desk. But then suddenly I had the idea when I found these two photos and triangles it was!

Once I cut the photos, I placed them on the Kraft cardstock and used a ruler to make the lines on the page in a random geometric design.

Then I painted some of the spaces! I used Colour Blast products: White heavy gesso (watered down), then Colour Shimmer Cubes (in Sienna and Leather) for the rich shiny copper and bronze colours. Plus some little splatters!

In this little stack... Charms Creations of course! ... A book paper banner and a white terrific tab.

And lots of other bits and pieces and embellishments that all seemed to fall into place!

Thank you Chrissy for bringing me back some of the Tim Holtz film strip from the US during her recent trip. Love this stuff and have never been able to find it. She shared me a full metre and it will be gone in no time!

Hello little me!

The title and journal make it a personal page for me, but something I am proud to share. I have made such great gains in seeing my worth and knowing that I am enough... something I could have learnt to do from a much younger age!

Thanks for looking!

Scrap the Boys - May 2017

Hi all,

Another BOY-based challenge for May for Scrap the Boys!... This one can have MUM's in it though.... (phew!)

Image may contain: flower, plant and text

And here is my page... with an old photo of husband David with his Mother....

I used some Colour Blast Shimmer Dust in Velvet and painted it to cardstock - that's the messy paint splodge at the back! Then added the layer of white script transparency, which I machine stitched. Then everything else layered on top!

I used some 2Crafty Chipboard (our sponsor this month) - I inked it purple and then used dimensional magic. While the dimensional magic was wet, I sprinkle some super fine glitter into it!

So purple and yellow??? Why not!

Thanks for looking. I hope you join us for Scrap the Boys this month!
