Show Us Your Stuff - April 2018

It is all about YOU this month at Show Us Your Stuff! So get out from behind the camera, and get yourself scrapped! And don't forget your handmade!

Here is my page.
Marine Colour Artist Inks and some Navy Colour Shimmer Dust painted on the background. Then some Dusty Charcoal Colour Paste through the awesome WOW Lisa Oxley stencil. Thanks Colour Blast Australia for another handmade background!

Then plenty of layers and embellishments.

Firstly I used this beautiful pink and red Charms Creations Hessian Heart. Combined with some Corbett Creations acrylic, Rainbow Splendour Epoxy Button, and Burdys Embellies Cog.

Loads of D-Lish Scraps goodies on this page, including the handmade Flair buttons.

More of the same, but also includes a wood veneer designed and made by Flutterby Designs.

That's it for today! Hope you join the challenge this month at SUYS.
Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Stick it Down - sketch challenge - April 2018

Hi everyone,

When I saw Corbett Creations sponsoring the sketches at Stick It Down, I decided to join in. And then I saw a double sketch. I used to do doubles all the time and now I so rarely do. So the sketch jumpstarted me to give a double a go!

This was the sketch.
April Double Page Sketch

And here is my take...

I started with some old Basic Grey paper and then added newer Cocoa Vanilla Studio papers for the triangles.

I added some stencilling with Colour Blast Colour Paste in snow white, before smooshing and splattering with some Distress Oxide Inks.

To finish I used: Corbett Creations wood and acrylic, Cocoa Vanilla Studio embellishments, some washi tape and a Charms Creations arrow.

Stickers and flair from CVS
Check out that cute wood Octopus and  acrylic water splash - both from Corbett Creations.

More CVS stickers, and the wood shell from Corbett Creations.

Cute sun diecut and buttons from CVS.
You can see the stencilling work in this close up too.

This is a Charms Creations DIY arrow - I coloured it using the Distress Oxides ink.
Also some CVS stickers.

Last cluster - more stickers, buttons, flower and flair from CVS.
And wood starfish and acrylic water splashes from Corbett Creations.

Loads of lovely Australian products right here! Go Aussies!

Amanda

Scrap the Boys - April 2018

During my Easter scrapping time, I decided to join in with Scrap the Boys!

This month the challenge is to use geometric shapes.

When I found this old photo of my husband in his old Balmain tigers jersey, plus some wood veneer triangles, I was set!

I also used the chance to add an orange Charms Creations chevron {perfect match!}, so I can share this page and challenge over there this month!

I glued the triangles to the page. Then painted white gesso over the whole page, triangles and all. I also added more triangles to the page, using Colour Blast Colour Paste in Snow White through a triangle stencil.

Then I added colour using Colour Artist Inks (from Colour Blast): I used Spice, Cider and Citrus, plus some black soot to accent and splatter.

(I won't lie, things got really messy on this page. But somehow it came together, despite the few muddy patches - lol)

Here is a close up of the Charms, with some Flutterby stickers, a Dlish Flair and other bits and pieces.

By the time my page was nearly finished, I noticed that Cocoa Vanilla Studio was this month's sponsor... and I had not included a single CVS thing... then I found some orange enamel pluses from a pack and add them as a cute touch to finish.

So that's it! It was fun to take time out and do a challenge page. I don't seem to always have time each month to do that. Yay for Easter scrap sessions.

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Kraft Plus April 2018

Awesome new challenge.....

And here is my take on the challenge:

Here is how interpreted the recipe:
Something old: old wedding photos, old blue paper and old kraft buttons.
Something new: new Colour Blast Artist Inks to create the background and colour the heart, new Echo Park stickers.
Something borrowed: borrowed a friend's border punch.
Something blue: old blue paper and blue Charms Creations heart.

 Thanks for looking.
