Firstly:

IDEAS: Overlap your thickers
Use the punctuation bits as embellishments...

Try this sketch too... while you are at it!

NEXT:

IDEA: I put crackle Accent (ranger) over the foam thickers for something different!
Check out the RAINBOW WISHES kit from Handmade HALO that I used on this page!

MORE:
IDEA: Thickers as a MASK, with misting
Thickers as the border

{AND OMG.... Thickers heaven! this was during my trip to CHA in January last year}

ANOTHER:
IDEA: Thickers as a MONOGRAM... NOTE: this is the layout example for our current February Mystery BOX Challenge... still a few days to join our challenge! DO IT!

* Ranger Crackle Accents
* Smooch Ink painted on top.

Paper: Kraft cardstock and white tissue paper

Daring you to Scrap FEB challenge, with my Halo goodies!

Hi everyone,

I created this layout using some of my beautiful Handmade Halo goodies and to meet the challenge over at Daring you to scrap. This month you had to create a layout inspired by a song.  I decide to use a photo of my friends wedding, so i asked her what her wedding song was.... which was "Crazy Love by Aaron Neville"- I googled the lyrics and found a line in the song that was just perfect for the layout and photo.

Papers: Black cardstock, Prima, Making memories, My girl paperie, Gltiz design paper
Letters: lilybee, Jillibean soup
Stickers: Crate, Cosmo Cricket, 7 Gypsie
(couldn't believe it when I found a sticker with "Crazy Love" on it! I'm so arsey like that!)
Embellishments: HALO flowers,  HALO resin,  HALO charmsHALO pebbles, Green tara roses, Scrap fx chipboard hearts, birch string pearls, machine stitching.

Hope you are all having a happy, love-filled day! mwah!

Calendar

FINALLY getting around to sharing these pages!!!!

Every year I struggle for nice and meaningful gifts for the grandparents (we have 4 sets)...

So at the end of last year I created an 8.5X11 page - one for each month of the year.  I tried to keep relevant photos - so MAY had a photo of Abby cos it's her birthday that month.

I then took photos of each layout and used SNAPFISH to make a calendar- got 4 calendars printed and that's what each set of grandparents got.  Far easier than make minialbums, individual calendars, etc. etc (which i've done before).

Here's the 12 months....

COVER

The formula was pretty simple - white cardstock, paper scraps, letters, flowers and other embellishments. I did all 12 layouts in one night (3 hours).

Now I put the layouts into the album and I plan to JOURNAL a summary of events for that month for 2011, so that the pages have an additional purpose.

I'm so happy with how it turned out and I'll definitely do this again this year!

Thanks for looking.

What's new at Handmade Halo....????

Hi everyone,

Here's a layout I whacked together last night....

An old photo of me with some school buddies...
Papers: Fancy Pants
Letters: Lilybee
Embellishments:  HANDMADE HALO goodies - charms, resin and check out the handmade flowers - lace flower and Bombe creme (gorgeous!)

And here's the best bit about designing for Halo.... every single time I see Corinne she loads me up with awesome goodies (think unique brass charms, resin in the best assortment of colours, the cutest tags and tickets from Pretty Little Studio), as well her own handmade creations.  Corinne works hard to come up with NEW ideas and NEW designs all the time (I'm not sure if she sleeps)- all for us!

So you don't miss out on these amazing creations, make sure you join our facebook page and LIKE us, so you get regular updates.

And even better, add the Handmade Halo website to your bookmark list and check in regularly.... because there is always new stuff going up all the time!

Have a GREAT DAY!
