Guest Designer at OFF THE RAILS SCRAPBOOKING

This month, the CHARMS CREATIONS team was invited to be guest designers for Off the Rails Scrapbooking, which is such a fun challenge blog to play along with.

Here was the MOOD board challenge... which was a challenge!!!!!!!!

Interesting colour palette - I couldn't get all the colours to work, but when I focused on just 3, my page fell together well!
I loved the quote, so part of that became my title.

I also had one of these beauties in my stash....

Which was a perfect match to the mustard yellow in the colour palette.....

Here is the page I created and some close ups:

I used white cardstock background, then layers of Bo Bunny, Crate Paper and My Minds Eyes Papers... colour matched to the colour palette.
I also added some light mists splatters and stamping to the background.

Signature clusters with flowers, bows and bling!

I really hope you take on the challenge at OFF the RAILS this month!

Thanks for looking!

JUNE at KRAFT PLUS - Guest Designer

Some excited for the chance to be guest designer at KRAFT PLUS this month. Amazing challenges and inspiration every month, including this month:

Charms Creations is sponsoring this month, which gave our team the chance to play along!

And here is my page and some close ups:
Yes, well.... confession time - I went the Disneyland Animal Kingdom on my own, during my trip to Orlando, Florida this year...without my kids. It was awesome and I hope I can take them there one year!

I raided more of my Kraft Fun Day paper (by My Minds Eye) for this layout. I created the circles using my new Scrap FX circle stamper.

The Charms Creations Animal Print Heart was perfect for me to bring in the required Animal print for this page!

Ahhhh.... used some old circle eyelets and brads... love using my stash!

Picked up this black/gold bow from Spotlight this week - from Franchville.

THANKS for looking.... THANKS for the chance to guest design at Kraft Plus!

Rainbow Splendour Vellum Bows!

Well, I say.. RAINBOW SPLENDOUR VELLUM BOWS- AGAIN!... but why not? They have quickly become the most versatile and necessary embellishments in my stash. And word is, Chloe has been making more for the NEXT SALE! YAY!

Here is a page I created, just because. Just because I can and plus I love yellow!

I used my WOW Lisa Oxley word stencil with white texture paste for this background. Then used a combination of water colour paints and some dylusions ink for the yellow/orange colour.

Some WOW wood chip circles. And a APOCD flair.

Flutterby Designs circles...

Flowers, buttons, enamel dots and washi scattered everywhere!

BUT don't miss the deliciousness that is this BEAUTIFUL yellow FLORAL BOW!
I simple love it.....

Thanks for looking! A

JUNE at Show Us Your Stuff

Be inspired this month at Show Us Your Stuff, by this:

A delightful mood board... and REMEMBER - use a handmade element!

Here is my page and close ups - pretty easy to see where my inspiration came from... (thank you rainbow butterfly musical notes!):

I started with some white cardstock, which I GESSO'd. Then I used gelatos and water to create the rainbow background. I found some matching patterned paper for the base and machine stitched the rainbow cardstock plus the musical notes transparency onto the base. Behind the photo, I layered hand-dyed muslin and a doily!

On this tag, I added my handmade elements: a Flair from APOCD and of course..... a RAINBOW SPLENDOUR vellum bow....

I had been "saving" this Dear Lizzy title... so perfect for this page!

I loved layering staples and enamel dots, stickers and twine for this beautiful page!

Hope you can play along this month at SUYS.

JUNE at Scrap the Girls

A gorgeous girlie girl MOOD board over at Scrap the Girls this month:

Here is my page:

I took the lids off some of my Dylusion and Heidi Swapp mists and used their bright colours with a paint brush to create the back panel  and splatters for this page. Layered with some vellum, staples and paper.

A fabulous DEER PIN from Rainbow Splendour,
AND an arrow from Charms Creations.

Oh my.... BRADS?????? I dragged them out and used them - YAY me!

Because, remember I said this:
"These old trusty containers hold my colour-sorted small embellishments. In here you find my sequins, as well as all those brads & eyelets that I still have in my stash from when I first started to scrap.
{note to self: scrap a layout with some little brads and eyelets}"

Hope you get time to scrap in June and join us at Scrap the Girls.

JUNE at White with One!

Please join the challenge over at White with 1!

Oh such a beautiful colour!

And here is my page for this month:
So I went old school this month - NO MIXED MEDIA - instead, I used some glorious, perfectly-matched patterned paper, handstitching and I embossed the chipboard! Simple techniques, but they combined for this layout perfectly!

A cluster.... including a Charms Creations! Because I can! ;)
Scrap FX chipboard - white embossed!

Oh my.... BRADS?????? I dragged them out and use them - YAY me!
