Once upon a Sketch - October...

I liked this month's sketch and prompt at Once Upon a Sketch...

The challenge also asked you to journal about the "girl" in your life.... I took a different tack - choosing to address myself as a girl! I found this old photo of myself looking so happy and decided it was a perfect time to remind myself to embrace happiness!

Gesso background with stamping to create texture. Mist plus water for washed effect. More stamping and mist splatters to finish the background.

Journalling: Message to myself!
Embellishments include: Rainbow Splendour bow, Studio Calico stickers and cork, resin flowers, American Kraft cork, brads.

Love the idea that this picture reminded you on just being happy. So many times we forget about that when we are adults. Your layout looks very good with small lovely details! Thanks for joining us at OUAS!

Oh, yes! I needed this reminder today - for some reason I've had the grumps! Life's too short, right??? LOOOVE the washed bg & that little 'be happy' circle...thanks so much for sharing with us at OUAS:):) And if you haven’t already done so, you can link this to our Once Upon A…Sketch Facebook Page for a chance at our special FB prize!
