Scrap the Girls- July

Hi everyone!

I love being on the Scrap the Girls team! Here is my July page.

Scrap the Girls:
A sketch this month:

Here is my page and some close ups:

I used a 2Crafty chipboard clock as the main circle, and then layered with diecut elements (circles, stars and arrows). I included layers of black cardstock, washi tape, patterned paper, punchinella and lots of wood elements.

Love this Black and white denim X, from Charms Creations (which I turned to be a +!)

Thanks for looking, hope you join the challenge at STG!

White with 1 July

A beautiful colour this month as WW1...

 White with One:

Here is my DT page - although - I am not sure the photo shows the real colour of the page.... it is much brighter in real life!

I started with white cardstock and patterned paper, and added some texture paste through the script stencil, and also some sprays/splats of white paint. Tulle and a doily behind the photo and then lots of layers and pretty stuff in the clusters!

Leaf cut files from Cocoa vanilla studio (thanks to my friend Vicky for cutting some for me)
Corbett Creations Wood camera (coloured white)
Charms Creations DIY star - left white!
D-lish Flair
Lots of paper roses and enamel dots...

Oh! This button from my stash - how where did I get that from? Someone made it..!!!

Thanks for looking! Hope you take on this colour challenge this month.

Show Us Your Stuff - July

Great winter challenge for SUYS this month. I love that we get to showcase lots of handmade Aussie stuff!

Show Us Your Stuff:

Here is my DT sample this month, and some close ups.

To create my background, I glued some different squares of grey patterned papers and gesso'd over all of the them. I then used Colour Blast "Just Blue" texture paste through stencils to create the blue x's and snowflake word. I used the old dribbly white paint trick again too, and some splashes of grey and blue paint. The title "Adventure" is a Corbett Creations wood veneer word, which I inked blue, but also applied some Colour Blast texture paste to, just the see what it looked like - it added some interest to the word for sure!

In the embellishment clusters, you will see some awesome handmade stuff:

Charms Creations DIY Chevron (sprayed with Blue Dylusions mist)
Rainbow Splendour- Foam leaves
Burdy's Embellies - Cool Cogs (Also added some blue ink to these)
Funky Flairs Studio - B&W flair
Corbett Creations - wood veneer word.
D-lish Scraps - Journal Its

Check them out in the close ups!

Kraft Plus - June

Great challenge again at Kraft Plus this June. Never the same old, same old... always a challenge - I love it!

Current Challenge

Here is my page and some close ups.

I used my palette knife to swipe texture paste onto the background, and stuck in some old puzzle pieces (sorry girls, that Dora the Explorer puzzle will never be quite the same!). I used some mists and watercolours to create the grey and orange colours on the background. I also did some random orange stamping!
I printed journaling on vellum, and when the first lot I printed ended up being to big for the page, I flipped it upside down and trimmed it to fit as an extra layer behind the photo.

I found an old chipboard puzzle piece, and I covered with patterned paper!

My embellishments include:
Charms Creations heart and chevron in orange/cream
From D-lish scraps: paper bag, flair & resin flowers
Also added some wood veneer and twine.

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Off the Rails - JUNE challenge

I had a go at the challenge for OFF THE RAILS this month!

It is a monochromatic challenge.
Junes mood board

And because I had just been to the Brisbane Papercraft/Scrapbooking Show and bought by official first pot of Colour Blast texture paste in Just Blue, that's where I started!

Pop Up Image

Here is my page and some close ups:

To create this background:

I used Colour Blast Just Blue Texture Paste through my Dusty Attic triangles stencil.
I then used my pale blue watercolours to wash across the background.
Scrappy-Arty genius Lisa Oxley, once showed me how to use house paint to dribble on the background. I had an old sample pot of white paint and I managed to dribble some of this onto the page from the end of a on old paint brush.

Some great Aussie handmade stuff to embellish:
Burdys embellies - Blue cogs
Rainbow Splendour - Wood Veneer pluses
Corbett Creations - Wood veneer little chick
Charms Creations - DIY plus, which I was able to colour with the Colour Blast paste mixed with some water. (Love the coloured effect it produced!)

D-lish Scraps - Design team work

Hi all,

I have been lucky enough to be on the Design team for D-lish Scraps since October last year. Each month I create 3 or 4 layouts. In an effort to keep my blog up-to-date, here is a post sharing some of my layouts from this year. Because D-lish is a perfect embellishment shop, I was try to make the pages about the embellishments.

So many awesome projects this year! So grateful to be on this team, getting to work with pretty stuff all the time!
