Guest designer for 123 challenge

Hi everyone,

I was lucky enough to win a guest design spot for the fun challenge site - 123 Challenge for April.

Here is this month's challenge:

And here is my page and some close ups....

I used white texture paste through my little squares stencil to create the grid pattern on the background, before soaking the layout with water and Dylusions (thank you Funky Fushia!).
I hand doodled some black grid patterns, but also added some grid washi tape, topped with some bright pink fabric washi. I stapled tulle behind the photos, love this soft look ..

A fabulous pink Charms Creations chevron here at the corner - love it!
Combined with a flair, some flowers and stickers!

Thanks for looking today!

D'Lish challenges + just add Charms!

I love the D'Lish monthly challenges - hosted at the Scrap Suite. Now we have a month to get them done, which is also great!

For this month's challenges, I was able to use my D'Lish stash and combine my embellishments with some awesome Charms Creations. A perfect match I say!

Here are the challenges and my pages.

_________________________________________________________________________________
Challenge # 1

I used a Charms Creation Spotty Star.
I also used some of the D'Lish yellow and grey embellies from the
"Carribean Skies" Just Add Paper kit.

As well as the yellow paint smears, I also smeared white texture paste on the background and stuck old spare letters in to try and make an imprint. It is subtle, and looks cooler IRL. I saw Kim Price do this a recent Scrapbooking Memories Mag.

Challenge # 2

I used Wire, not Twine; Sequins, not enamel dots; journal spot, not strips; flowers, not flairs.
Lots of D'Lish stuff here as well as a "vintage" Charm Luscious Lollipop that I have had in my stash for a while!

Challenge # 3

I nestled the Charm's Creation Book Paper Chevron amongst a D'Lish sequin bow, flowers and leaves. There's a few goodies from my stash of stuff from A Lil Something too!

Challenge # 4

Blue and Green should never be seen - oh well! Looks good here with a backdrop of white!
4 identical embellishments are the spotty buttons from D'Lish. (I found the "4" thing hard! Would of preferred an odd number!)
There is a Charms Denim heart, as well as flowers, resin, leaves, flair and bow from D'Lish too.

Happy Easter Week @ Charms - BLOG HOP

Easterweek

WOW>>> EASTER IS HERE! School holidays, a bit of time off work for me and of course, chocolate for breakfast!

Charmane from Charms Creations set us an Easter challenge  - help us to get in the mood to create and play and share some time with your family and friends. And checking in each day, firstly for some inspiration but also to be in the chance to win a prize! SO many great ideas already to do - I am exhausted looking at and thinking of all the possibilities of things I could do!

However, if you are like me, a bit of down time usually means scrapping can happen! oh YAY!
So, I loved the PASTEL easter themed inspired mood board over at Show Us Your Stuff - one of our great challenge blogs. Maybe you could use your down time to create a page.

Here is the mood board:
and a sneak peek of my page and the awesome Charms Creation super star.

If you are doing the blog hop , remember to collect the special WORD or WORDS each day, then at the end of the week, unjumble the words and email Charm with the answer - everyone with the answer will go into the draw to win a fabulous EASTER prize!

You can join us over at the Easter Week Event to keep up to date on Facebook or join us over on the Ideas & Inspiration Group for a bit of fun too!

Today's word is *weekend* {I didn't even hide it!}

Can't wait to see your creations. Good luck with the prize.

Scrap the Girls - APRIL 2015

Another month, another challenge.

Here is the awesome mood board over at Scrap the Girls.

Such an intriguing colour combo.....

Here is my page and some close ups.

So, I kinda love this page. I love it when I create something so bright and beautiful that I can't help but smile and feel RAD when it is done.
The BEST bit about this page? Of course, that it is inspired by, and features Lisa Oxley and her word stencil. I have been lucky enough to attend two of Lisa's classes now and each time I learn more about creating these amazing backgrounds.

Here's what I used on this layout.
I started with "Marshmallow" cardstock - that is a thicker white cardstock from Bazzil. I used Jo Sonya's black texture paste through, the WOW word stencil (designed by Lisa Oxley herself; I got mine from Artified).
Then I used water and dyslusion mist sprays to create the wash, yet bright background.

Cheesecloth (also spray dyed with Dyslusions mist), washi tape and then clusters of flowers, resin, sequins and buttons.

Thanks for looking today and I really hope you take the time to tackle this SCRAP the GIRLS challenge.

White with one - March

Hi again,

In the January Rainbow Splendour sale, I got some of these:

And those little crowns were perfect for the challenge over at White with One this month...

ww1 hemlock

And here is the page I created:

I created the background with Dylusions mist - I used the stick of the mist to draw a circle on the page. I also added Tim Holtz distress stain.
I stitched papers and velum under the photo and finished with mist splutters, sequins, enamel dots, flowers, and of course, the RS pretty pin.

Thanks for looking.

Rainbow Splendour March Sketch

Hi everyone!

AMANDA HERE....

Chloe designed us a fabulous sketch this month. Here it is.....

I enjoyed this sketch.. so here is my page and a close up of the Rainbow Splendour goodies!
PS>>> I just noticed that as I uploaded this, that I forgot to JOURNAL on my page... BAD SCRAPBOOKER! HA! I am getting that page back out to finish it now - I promise!

And well.... the felt bow are so gorgeous, why not double them up? And then wind some twine around them?

And a felt feather nestled with more vellum circles and flowers and circles and twine and sequins and bling and.... a bit of everything!

Do you love the sketch? Would you like to join us this month? If you are inspired - then please create a layout using Chloe's sketch- remembering to include a little bit of Rainbow Splendour goodness from your stash. Simply share it on our Rainbow Splendour Facebook page by the end of the month for your chance to win a RAK from me {for a randomly chosen person}. We love seeing how YOU use RS!
